Video Squeeze Pages – The Future of Internet Marketing

[BMOI] Hi Everyone,

One of the most effective ways to achieve success as an affiliate marketer is to build an email list. Email marketing has long been one of the best ways to get your message across to prospective buyers.

Building a list is no easy task. It takes a lot of time and effort. Mostly, it takes a lot of traffic. There are many ways to generate targeted traffic, like social bookmarking, blogging, forums, and traffic exchanges. However, it doesn’t matter how much traffic you generate if you don’t have a system in place to take advantage of it.

The most effective way to benefit from your hard earned traffic is by building a squeeze page. A squeeze page is a simple, one-page website that is specifically designed to get visitors to join your list by what’s called “opting in”.

Visitors “opt in” by inputting their name and email address into a simple form that’s usually provided by your autoresponder. The success of your list depends on the effectiveness of your squeeze page. If your squeeze page isn’t set up properly or has poor sales copy, it won’t convert well and you won’t get many subscribers.

Until recently, most squeeze pages were conventional websites. However, a new trend has been to create squeeze pages around a video. These video squeeze pages are proving to have very high conversion rates. Many marketers believe that visitors would much rather watch an informative video than read through paragraphs of text. This is logical thinking considering more than 50% of all search engine queries are for videos!

Since most visitors will decide to stay on a page or leave within the first 8 seconds, it’s a big advantage to have a video playing. This way the visitor no longer has to skim through the text to see if they are interested, they can hear it instead. It’s much more effective as it appeals to two senses instead of just one.

There are several key elements that a good video squeeze page will have. They are:

1. Headline – The headline is the first thing people will see. It needs to grab their attention right away, or they won’t stay and watch the video.

2. Bullet Points – While traditional squeeze pages might have several paragraphs of text, all that’s necessary on a video squeeze page is a few bullet points. A good idea is to outline what is going to be covered in the video.

3. Testimonials – These are very important, and they should be on your video. Contact some happy customers and request that they record a testimonial using their webcam and send it to you. You can then edit these into your video.

4. Call To Action – Your call to action should be located directly above your opt-in form. It should be a compelling sentence or two that gives the benefits your visitors will receive if they sign up.

5. Opt-in Form – This is necessary so that your visitors will have a way to give you their email address and any other pertinent information you require.

6. The Video – This is the most important part of your squeeze page. Many people are put off by video because they feel it is complicated or costly. That’s simply not true. There are many free screen capture software programs available that will walk you through the process and simplify it for you. Here are some tips to remember when making your video:

- You should always show a sample of the product, even if it’s just a picture of an ecover or software box.

- The video should mainly be audio. You want people to focus on what you are saying, and not become distracted by flashy images.

- If you are selling a product designed to aid in making money, showing proof of profit is very effective.

It’s also very important to have an attractive squeeze page template. The most effective designs are simple and crisp looking, with the video on the left, and opt-in form on the right.

You have several options when it comes to designing a squeeze page. If you are somewhat savvy, you can design your own. There are also many people willing to design them for you. You can usually hire them very cheap, and they will give you a great product. Lastly, you can buy a template. These require very little editing on your part, and can be quite attractive.

Now you can do all this in just hours; and not by using any cheesy squeeze page template that can be found all over the internet either.
